FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about Phoenix pool maintenance, chemistry, and equipment.

The intense Arizona UV index breaks down free chlorine molecules very rapidly. Without a cyanuric acid (stabilizer) level of 30-50 ppm, the sun can deplete your pool's chlorine in under 2 hours. We monitor stabilizer levels weekly to prevent this.

For standard sand or DE filters, you should backwash when the pressure gauge reads 8-10 PSI above its clean starting pressure—typically every 4 to 6 weeks. For cartridge filters, we perform a deep clean every 3 to 6 months.

Our weekly full maintenance package includes skimming debris, scrubbing walls/tiles, vacuuming pool bottom, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, testing 5-point water chemistry, adding necessary chemicals, and inspecting equipment operation.

No. After shock treatments, chlorine levels are unsafe and can irritate eyes and skin. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours, or until free chlorine levels return below 4.0 ppm, before entering the water.
